A Musical Homecoming
After a history that covers nearly 70 years,
the Lake Charles Symphony celebrates its 50th consecutive season of great music.
There's a golden shine coming from the concert stage this year.
At the same time we will celebrate William Kushner's completion of
30 years as the conductor of the Lake Charles Symphony as we stand and applaud
him upon his retirement.
This 50th season is a reunion of sorts, a homecoming that brings
our best and brightest back. Five stars of our local musical scene have become
luminaries in world music, and return to light up the stage in our 50th season.
This season features concert performances by David Friend, piano; Judy Hand,
flute; Michael Buckles, violin; Eric Kushner, French horn; and Paul Groves,
tenor.
As much as you enjoy the music, you'll appreciate the connection
that these masterful artists share with our city and our Symphony. Welcome
them — and their music — home!
The Lake Charles Symphony's 50th Season brings
together magnificent classics and world-class soloists for a stunning
homecoming of beauty and emotion. Purchase a
season membership and enjoy these
musical reflections in four outstanding concerts. It is a Musical Homecoming!
